Terms of Service

The terms you agree to

Quick summary: Use Waypoint for its intended purpose, don't break things or break the law, pay your subscription if you're on a paid plan, and we'll do our best to keep the service running and your data safe. You can cancel anytime. We can terminate accounts that abuse the service.

1. Who we are

Waypoint is operated by Triggers Media LLC, a Texas limited liability company. By creating an account or using Waypoint (the "Service"), you ("you," "your") agree to these Terms of Service.

If you don't agree, don't use Waypoint.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you're using Waypoint on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

3. Your account

You're responsible for:

  • Keeping your sign-in credentials secure (we use magic links and Google OAuth, so this mostly means protecting access to your email account)
  • The accuracy of the information you provide
  • All activity that happens through your account

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at hello@waypointtravel.ai.

4. Subscription, billing, and refunds

Free trial

New accounts get a free trial that includes one trip and 25 AI-powered intake actions. The trial ends 30 days after signup, or 7 days after your first trip's end date — whichever is later. After the trial, your account becomes read-only unless you upgrade to a paid plan.

Paid plans

Paid subscriptions (Pro Annual, Pro Monthly, Teams) are billed in advance through Stripe. By upgrading, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. We do not send pre-renewal reminder emails for monthly plans; we do send reminders before annual renewals.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from Settings → Manage subscription in the app. After cancellation, you keep access through the end of your current billing period, then your account becomes read-only.

Refunds

We offer refunds in two cases:

  • Within 14 days of your first charge, if you've used fewer than 10 AI extractions, contact us for a full refund — no questions.
  • Service outages or billing errors — we'll refund or credit you on a case-by-case basis.

Outside those cases, payments are non-refundable. We don't pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of an annual plan after the 14-day window.

Price changes

We may change pricing for new signups at any time. Existing paid subscribers are protected from price increases for at least 12 months from their last renewal — we'll email you 30 days before any price change affects your subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Waypoint for anything illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or that infringes on others' rights
  • Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited commercial messages through the email forwarding feature
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our source code beyond what's visible in the browser
  • Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities without our written permission (responsible disclosure to hello@waypointtravel.ai is welcome)
  • Bypass or attempt to circumvent rate limits, feature gates, or trial restrictions
  • Use Waypoint to train competing AI models or build a competing service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Waypoint to third parties without our written permission
  • Use automated tools to access the service in ways that exceed normal human usage patterns

If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account without refund.

6. Your content

The trip data, contacts, expenses, recaps, and other information you put into Waypoint ("Your Content") belongs to you. We don't claim ownership.

By using Waypoint, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store, process, and display Your Content as needed to provide the Service to you
  • Send Your Content to subprocessors (listed in our Privacy Policy) as needed
  • Use AI models (currently Claude by Anthropic) to extract structured data from text, images, and emails you submit

This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

7. AI features and limitations

Waypoint uses AI to extract data from emails, screenshots, business cards, and receipts. The AI sometimes makes mistakes — it may misread amounts, dates, or names. Always review what AI extracts before relying on it. You're responsible for verifying the accuracy of any data the AI populates.

The AI Concierge can answer questions and search the web for live information. Information returned may be incomplete or out of date. Verify anything important (flight times, restaurant hours, prices) with the original source.

8. Our intellectual property

Waypoint — including the software, designs, copy, name, logo, and brand — is owned by Triggers Media LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the Service to you.

9. Disclaimers

Waypoint is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Waypoint is a productivity tool. It does not book travel, make reservations, or guarantee that any flight, hotel, or conference information is accurate or up to date. Always verify travel details with the original provider before relying on them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Triggers Media LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of Waypoint — including missed flights, missed meetings, lost contacts, or lost business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid Waypoint in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Triggers Media LLC from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

By you

You can stop using Waypoint at any time. To delete your account, email hello@waypointtravel.ai and we'll process the deletion within 30 days.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy
  • You fail to pay an invoice
  • We're required to by law or court order
  • We discontinue Waypoint (we'll give at least 60 days' notice and refund any unused portion of paid plans)

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service occasionally. For material changes, we'll email account holders at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of Waypoint after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Waypoint will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hidalgo County, Texas.
